The Global Refugee Forum 2023 will take place from 13 to 15 December at the Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland, with linked events held in other locations from 12 December onwards. View the programme for more information on sessions and times.

Registration and participation 

The Forum is an in-person event convened for all United Nations Member States together with relevant stakeholders. All invited participants, including those with a UN Office at Geneva (UNOG) ID badge, must register online through the Indico link provided by UNHCR to invited participants.

Participation is by invitation only, however, a livestream of the plenary sessions will be available for those who wish to follow the event online.

Visas

Participants are encouraged to consult the State Secretariat for Migration page for information related to who requires a visa to enter Switzerland, the application process, and pre-departure formalities. 

Security details 

Security arrangements will be in place and attendees should allow time to pass through security each morning.   

All participants must register online through the Indico link provided by UNHCR to invited participants. Upon verification of their invitation status, participants will be accredited and receive an electronic event badge (e-badge) containing a QR code. Participants must present their e-badge on their mobile device at the entrance to Palexpo. Alternatively, a printed copy of the QR code may be used.

On Wednesday 13 December, access to the plenary will be restricted to those with a plenary badge. However, access will be open to all registered participants on 14 and 15 December.
